Vine Age: 40 years old on average Terroir: Quatenary alluvial soils in BennwihrMathieu Deiss, in addition to taking the reins of the Marcel Deiss estate, created the Vignoble du Rêveur with his partner Emmanuelle Milan in 2013. Located in Bennwihr near Colmar, he inaugurates a new chapter in the history of the Mischler vineyard, the estate of his grandfather and his maternal uncle. The 7 hectares of vines are worked in Biodynamie. For Mathieu, the goal is to seek the truth of the fruit and to guarantee the transparency of the practices. He is not afraid to break with traditional Alsatian practices, on the contrary, he seeks to go beyond the limits of the grape variety by working the grapes in a different way, with new vinifications (maceration, vinification in amphorae, wines vinified without filtration, with little or no sulfur).
