Description

The Basque region of northern Spain was once an outpost for whalers and fisherman, hence the whale tail on the label. Since the age of exploration, ships would sail up to the village of Getaria (which sticks out into the Bay of Biscay) and trade for barrels of wine. Balea is primarily Hondarrabi Zuri (white) and a tad of Hondarrabi Beltza (red) vinified to 11% ABV, making it perfect for beach drinking!
