Fuller medium-bodied, dry. Ruby red in color with a nose of violet and plums. Chocolate-covered black berries on the palate before a finish of coffee, black fruit, and judicious oak. Not overly ripe or jammy. Pair with sausages, burgers, pasta with meat sauce, and stews.

Description

From the best vineyards in Altamira (almost 4,000 feet above sea level) and Gualtallary (almost 5,000 feet above sea level), Kipu Malbec displays the unique characteristics of the Uco Valley, a terroir with a cool climate and mineral-rich soils. The vines are head trained using the espalier trellis system, which yields 8 tons of fruit per hectare on average. These vineyards have always been managed using sustainable agriculture practices.
