It produces lower alcohols, fine tannins, and lively aromatics evocative of cherry blossoms. We fermented our limited harvest on it’s skins for 30 days, then barrel-aged for a year before bottling unfined or filtered. It is animated and exotic wine.

Description

Ribolla Gialla is a new grape in the Johan Vineyards repertoire. We grafted this variety into our vineyard in 2017, along with a few other experimental varieties. It’s a native grape championed in Northern Italy, namely Fruili. The grape has a distinctly unique and exciting expression of the Van Duzer Corridor AVA.
