Description

I LUOGHI is a small farm, only 19ac/8ha, located in Bolgheri, on the Central coast of Tuscany just 7 miles from the sea. Bolgheri is one of the most interesting wine regions in the world. The landscape is characterized by an amphitheater of low hills covered with olive trees surrounding the vineyards. Soils are of Pleistocene origin and are formed by flood and marine sands, so they are loose soils that allow the roots of the vines to grow deep into the ground. Bolgheri’s wines are based on Bordeaux varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, with up to 50% of Sangiovese or Syrah permitted. True to the region, I Luoghi is a Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant winery.
