Guilhem Grosperrin purchased this batch from one of the family’s sons, with the spirit having originally been produced by the father 40 years earlier. The spirit was aged in several 559 litre barrels, which were stored in the dry cellars of the Organisation Economique Cognac (or ORECO) for short, before a period in Grosperrin’s own cellars.

The final result is an intense, flavoursome Cognac that delivers notes of rich fragrant wood (sandalwood and cedar), oak, chocolate, figs, alcoholic honey (mead-like notes), sultanas, leather, funky-earthy spice, lychee, oily walnuts, cloves, candied citrus rind, rancio, cinnamon and plums.
