Description

Dva Duby is a small winery in South Moravia, on the border between the Czech Republic and Austria, established 20 years ago by Jiri Sebela. This is a very suitable area and wine has been produced here since time immemorial, using grapes native to the area, especially Sankt Laurent and Blaufränkisch. Jiri’s aim is to convey the richness of this terroir to every single bottle: continental climate, soil formed in the Proterozoic period and thus at least 2 billion years ago, and great ventilation. Dva Duby’s idea of wine is absolutely natural, here any form of systemic chemistry is repudiated, even copper has been banned since 2007, in the cellar the wines are produced using indigenous yeasts, long ageing in oak and acacia barrels and no added sulphites in the pre-bottling phase
