This intense Cabernet Sauvignon will surprise you. The vineyard manager is Phil Coturri of the remarkable Coturri family of Sonoma. This wine shows robust red fruit and cassis flavors. The acidity is well balanced with the fine tannins.

Description

The six-acre block of Cabernet Sauvignon was planted on Old Hill Ranch in 1983 by our neighbor who leased the vineyard until 2004. The original vines were planted on AXR rootsock, meaning that they are infected with phyloxera and their roots are compromised. The net effect is a very devigorated vine, producing low yields.
