Description

Costa Verde, Portugal Vinho Verde is produced in Portugal’s Northwest region, the Costa Verde. This verdant region extends from the Vale da Cambra south of the river Douro to the Minho, which forms the frontier with Spain over 130 km to the north. Originally known for rough and ready, tart, high-pitched wines, the cool climate and rain-bearing westerly winds keeps this area cool and damp.
