Description
The winery is headed by the oenologist Juan Teixeira , who follows the production guidelines established by the British for more than two centuries. To do this, it supplies itself with the best grapes on the island, since it has agreements with many local winegrowers, and then elaborates in the traditional way with aging in barrels of 350 and 600 liters . Some of these barrels have more than a century of history.Broadbent controls vineyards all over the island. The varieties that he works to create his madeiras are Sercial, Verdelho, Boal, Malvasía, Terrantez, Tinta negra, Complexa and Triunfo .
