Description
Cantina Sociale di Castel Boglione was originally founded in 1954 by a group of local growers lead by the parish priest. Once the initial caution and prudence was put aside, the group grew gradually under the guidance of Pietro Laudano (who was president from 1963 until his death in 2000) and the winemaking experience of Livio Manera. During th 60’s and the 70’s, the old cement vats were gradually substituted with stainless steel tanks and oak barrels. Today, with a total of almost 700 hectares and a potential of 2.5 million bottles, Castel Boglione has turned into an important point of reference for the local viticulture and has recently started marketing wines with its own label. As part of the Araldica group lead by Claudio Manera, Castel Boglione is a reliable source for good quality, value priced wines from Piedmont.
