Description

Georges Descombes is the son of a Beaujolais vigneron who found his inspiration for his own label in the legendary wines of local legend, Marcel Lapierre. Whilst working on the bottling line for many of the local producers, Georges was taken with the purity and finesse of the wines of Lapierre who’s natural approach has carved a path for so many in the region. Georges has taken his father’s traditional farming practices to another level, now having both his inherited and acquired vineyards certified organic and choosing a hands-off approach in the cellar. Considered the unofficial fifth member of the legendary “Gang of Four” of top-flight Beaujolais revolutionaries, his wines are of the highest repute.
