Simi is led by talented female winemaker Melissa Stackhouse and focuses on higher end Cabernet Sauvignon, yet also produce superb Chardonnay. For this bottling, they carefully source from some of the region’s finest plots and oldest vines, with an average age of 27 years. Most of the fruit comes from Goldfields Vineyard, a terrific 105 acre site with a slightly warmer microclimate with morning fog and well drained soil. Dense and stylish, Simi presents a full bodied and fruit forward Chardonnay, with suave oak integrated into the core of this generous wine.
